Code of Conduct

The primary goal of these gatherings, whether a formal conference or a casual MeetUps, is to foster community, share knowledge, and provide opportunities for networking. By adhering to this Code of Conduct, we can ensure a productive and harmonious environment for all participants.


FEELING GOOD

Respect for all

Discrimination, harassment, or hate speech towards any individual or group based on race, gender, gender identity and expression, religion, age, disability, nationality, origin, marital status, sexual orientation or any other distinguishing characteristic or protected category is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.

Celebrate and respect the diverse backgrounds and viewpoints of all participants. DCG420 follows RainbowHat state of mind.

Avoid Political Discussions

To ensure focus and harmony, discussions and expressions of political opinions, affiliations, or any politically charged topics are not permitted.


PROFESSIONALS

Professional Behavior

All attendees and speakers are expected to behave professionally. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior, including excessive intoxication or misuse of drugs, will not be tolerated.

No Promotion

Promotion of companies, products, personal agendas or any form of solicitation is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, unauthorized distribution of promotional materials or unsolicited pitches.


BEHAVIOUR

Participation and Engagement

While attendance is voluntary, active engagement enriches the experience for everyone. Stay involved and contribute constructively.

Stay Informed and Follow Guidelines

Check for announcements or guidelines shared in advance by the organizers. Adhere to all guidelines and protocols set by event organizers, including but not limited to, seating arrangements, session attendance, and use of technology.

Constructive Interactions

Contribute positively to discussions. Personal attacks, aggressive, abusive, harassing, threatening language or behaviour, or any disruptive actions are unacceptable.

Digital Etiquette

Silence or turn off electronic devices during sessions or talks. If you need to attend to a call or message, please step away discreetly.

Environmental Respect

Treat all venues with care, whether they are formal conference halls or our casual meetup spots. Clean up after yourself and respect venue-specific rules. Do not forget to pay for your food and drinks.

Privacy Matters

Do not take photos, audio, or video of participants without their explicit consent. Respect everyone’s privacy and avoid sharing personal information without permission.

Chatham House Rule

It may happen that some events or part of it is marked as being under the Chatham House Rule. Why? This rule is used to encourage open discussions while protecting participants‘ identities. Then the participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.

Consequences

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in removal from the event and potential bans from future events.
